He was Senior Consultant in Cataract, Glaucoma and Uvea Department and NABH Coordinator in Uma Eye Clinic, Chennai. He was the Head of the Department of Glaucoma and in charge of School of Optometry in Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad. He has worked as Associate Consultant in the Department of Glaucoma, Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore and as Consultant in Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in the past.
