PRODUCT DETAILS
About Torvazest F Tablet
ATORVASTATIN+FENOFIBRATE is a combination of drugs composed of Atorvastatin & Fenofibrate both of which lower the levels of cholesterol and bad lipids( triglyceride ) in blood, primarily used for prevention of heart diseases & blood vessel blockage. Atorvastatin belongs to a class of medications called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins, substance that blocks an enzyme needed by the body to make cholesterol and lowers the amount of cholesterol) whereas fenofibrate belongs to a group of medication called 'fibric acid derivatives' or 'fibrates'. Atorvastatin and fenofibrate are used in such circumstances in which level of fats in blood are not controlled by single drug alone. Hyperlipidemia or hypertriglyceridemia is a condition in which there is a high level of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) or bad cholesterol and a decreased level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol. Increased level of bad cholesterol leads to a high risk of heart attack and stroke in future, especially in patients with heart disease.

- Coronary artery disease (plaque (cholesterol ) buildup in the wall of the arteries that supply blood to the heart).
