About Sizonorm Plus Tablet
Trimipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant. It increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.
Uses of Sizonorm Plus Tablet
Trimipramine is used in the treatment of depression.
Medicinal Benefits of Sizonorm Plus Tablet
Trimipramine works by increasing the level of a chemical called serotonin in the brain. This improves your mood, relieves anxiety, tension, and helps you sleep better. It may also be used to treat depression that is unresponsive to other medicines. It has fewer side effects than older antidepressants. It usually takes a few weeks for this medicine to work so you need to keep taking it even if you feel it is not working. Do not stop taking it, even if you feel better unless your doctor advises you to.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trimipramine may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Side Effects of Sizonorm Plus Tablet
Increased heart rate, Weight gain, Dryness in mouth, Constipation, Difficulty in urination, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing)

Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Trimipramine.
DRIVING
Trimipramine may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
LIVER
Trimipramine should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Trimipramine may be needed.
KIDNEY
Trimipramine should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Trimipramine may be needed.
