Novomix 50 100IU/ml Penfill
PRODUCT DETAILS
About Novomix 50 100IU/ml Penfill
INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART is a combination of rapid-acting human insulin and longer-acting insulin analogue to treat diabetes mellitus in both children (above 2 years of age) and adults. It maintains blood sugar levels in adults and children. Diabetes mellitus is a condition that affects the way your body processes glucose. In Diabetes Mellitus Type 1, the body does not make enough insulin to control blood sugar levels. In Diabetes Mellitus type 2, either the body stops producing enough insulin (the hormone which helps to decrease sugar levels in the blood), or there is resistance to insulin action. As a result, insulin is produced in large amounts, but it cannot act on the organs of the body.
Uses of Novomix 50 100IU/ml Penfill
Type 1 diabetes mellitus, Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Medicinal Benefits of Novomix 50 100IU/ml Penfill
INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART works by ensuring rapid and stable sugar control. INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART is combination of fast-acting and intermediate acting insulin that helps lower blood sugar levels after the intake of food. Prevents the risk of having severe complications of diabetes. It stimulates the recovery of sugar in muscle and fat cells and thus suppresses the production of sugar in the liver. INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART helps in improving the glycaemic control which in turn decreases the risk of progression of complications of diabetes like damage of retina (retinopathy), damage of kidney (nephropathy), damage of nerve cells (neuropathy), delayed wound healing, diabetic foot ulcer and others.
Directions for Use
INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART is administered 15 minutes before taking meal subcutaneously (SC) in the abdomen or thigh region. However, subcutaneous injection of INSULIN ASPART PROTAMINE+INSULIN ASPART in the abdomen region ensures a faster absorption than other injection sites. Now, pinch up the skin, push the needle into the skin, and then push the plunger. • The needle should be kept under the skin for at least 6 seconds to make sure the entire dose is injected. • After injecting the insulin pull out the needle and dispose of the syringe safely.
