About Iversafe Cream

IVERMECTIN contains ivermectin, belongs to the class of medicines called anti-parasitic drugs, also known as anthelmintics. It is widely used medication to treat various infections caused by parasites, including strongyloidiasis (a roundworm infection) and control onchocerciasis (a worm infection that affects skin and eyes). These are parasitic infections that can affect quality-of-life and lead to life-threatening conditions if left untreated, especially in people with weakened defence (immune) systems.

Uses of Iversafe Cream

Strongyloidiasis (a threadworm infection), onchocerciasis (a worm infection)

Medicinal Benefits of Iversafe Cream

IVERMECTIN is an anti-parasitic medication. It can kill the parasites by acting on the nervous system. It starves the worms by inducing paralysis, consequently leading them to death. In the case of strongyloidiasis, it kills the parasites present in the intestine completely treating the infection. In the case of onchocerciasis, it can only control the infection as it can kill the developing worms but not the adult worms.

Directions for Use

Take IVERMECTIN on an empty stomach, at least one hour before the meals. Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually given as a single dose.

Side Effects of Iversafe Cream

IVERMECTIN can show side-effects such as headache, dizziness, nausea, muscle pain, diarrhea, and orthostatic hypotension. Head or neck pain, confusion, blurred vision, seizures, balance problems, and difficulty walking can be seen if you are using it for strongyloidiasis in patients with a history of loiasis (an eye worm (loa loa) infection characterized by skin and eye problems). In the case of onchocerciasis, you may experience joint pain, vision disturbances, swelling in your hands or feet, and weakness during the first 4 days of treatment. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience any abnormal or serious side-effects.
