About Imuski Injection
RANITIDINE is a gastrointestinal medicine, reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes. RANITIDINE is used to treat for indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux. RANITIDINE is also used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD)-this is when you keep on getting acid reflux. RANITIDINE is also used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers. Often RANITIDINE is taken for a rare condition caused by a tumour in the pancreas or intestine called Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
GERD is a condition in which the valve (sphincter) located at the uppermost part of the stomach gets irritated and damaged due to excessive stomach acid production. As a result, stomach acid into the food pipe, leading to stomach upset and heartburn. Heartburn is the post effect of acid reflux with a burning-like feeling that rises from the stomach towards the neck.
RANITIDINE is Histamine-2 (H2) receptor blocker that helps in reducing the stomach acid by blocking the actions of the H2 receptor. The H2 receptor lies in the parietal cells of the stomach wall responsible for the release of gastric acid secretion - extra gastric acid secretion damage the tissues in the food pipe, stomach, and duodenum.

Medicinal Benefits of Imuski Injection
RANITIDINE helps in reducing the excess amount of stomach acid. In turn, it prevents the formation of an ulcer in the stomach (peptic ulcer), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with or without ulcer, and Zollinger Ellison Syndrome in which the stomach makes an exceptionally high amount of acid.
Directions for Use
It is better to take RANITIDINE an hour before a meal. RANITIDINE should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Besides this, RANITIDINE is also available in liquid form for those who cannot swallow tablets or capsules.
Side Effects of Imuski Injection
Like all medicines, RANITIDINE also has some common side effects. RANITIDINE might have some common side effects like headache, constipation, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. These side effects are temporary and may get resolve after some time. However, if side effects persists contact the doctor.

Drug Warnings
You should avoid taking RANITIDINE if you are allergic to RANITIDINE or H2 receptor blockers, have gastric cancer, liver disease, pregnant or planning for pregnancy, and breastfeeding mothers. RANITIDINE may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole), anti-HIV drug( atazanavir). Let your doctor know if you are taking these medicines. Intake of RANITIDINE may mask the symptom of gastric cancer, so if you have any severe stomach pain or gastric bleeding (blood in stool and mucous) immediately consult the doctor.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction:
RANITIDINE interacts with a blood thinner (warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole), anti-HIV drug (atazanavir) antacid (aluminium hydroxide). Let your doctor know if you are taking these medicines.
Drug-Disease Interaction:
RANITIDINE should be not given in patients with gastric bleeding, liver/ kidney disease, low vitamin B12 (anaemia).
Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
Drinking alcohol with RANITIDINE may cause dehydration and elevate the level of stomach acid, thereby decreasing its efficacy. So try to avoid consuming alcohol.
PREGNANCY
Please consult your doctor for advice before using RANITIDINE.
BREAST FEEDING
Please consult your doctor before intake of RANITIDINE. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.
DRIVING
In some cases, RANITIDINE may cause dizziness, sleepy. If you observe these symptoms do not drive or operate machinery until you feel better.
