About Gluvoiz PM 2mg/500mg/15mg Tablet
They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride , Metformin and Rosiglitazone. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Rosiglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which further increases insulin sensitivity.
Directions for Use
Take it with food to lower your chance of having an upset stomach.

Hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level), Nausea, Taste change, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Headache, Edema (swelling), Weight gain, Blurred vision, Bone fracture, Respiratory tract infection

Drug Warnings
It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety.
Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).
Safety Advice
PREGNANCY
Pregnant women may get severe side effects after taking Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone. If you are pregnant, do not take Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone without a doctor's advice.
BREAST FEEDING
Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone may cause serious side effects in breastfeeding women, so do not take this drug without doctor's advice.
LIVER
Information about safety of Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone for the liver is not available since scientific research on this is yet to be done.
KIDNEY
No research work has been carried out till date on effects of Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone on kidney. So it is not known whether taking Glimepiride + Metformin + Rosiglitazone will cause side effects on kidney or not.
