Dexlet D 30mg/10mg Capsule
PRODUCT DETAILS
About Dexlet D 30mg/10mg Capsule
DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia (indigestion), and peptic ulcers. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to acidity-related problems.
DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Dexrabeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Dexrabeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid. Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of the stomach muscles. Together, DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE helps in treating acidity-related problems.
Take DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE 1 hour prior to food. Swallow DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the tablet. You are advised to take DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor before taking DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or intestinal obstruction. Consult your doctor before taking DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with DEXRABEPRAZOLE+DOMPERIDONE as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.
