Travrx Eye Drop
PRODUCT DETAILS
About Travrx Eye Drop
TRAVOPROST is an ophthalmic preparation intended to use for the treatment of glaucoma and other eye diseases, including ocular hypertension. TRAVOPROST is responsible for lowering the excessive pressure built inside the eye, which in turn helps in maintaining good eye health and prevents blindness. Glaucoma is an eye disorder that happens when excess fluid gets buildup gradually inside the eye. If proper treatment is not given on time, it may even cause vision loss in one or both eyes. Common symptoms of glaucoma include blurry vision, loss of peripheral vision, unable to see clearly at night, blind spots, the problem is focusing on objects that are near to the eyes, etc.
TRAVOPROST comes under the category of prostaglandin analogues, which is responsible for increasing the dryness in the eyes, which in turn results in the lowering of pressure built inside the eye. TRAVOPROST acts by reducing the action of naturally occurring prostaglandins, which are natural chemicals secreted by the body. In the eyes, prostaglandins are responsible for increasing the aqueous humour out of the eyeball. TRAVOPROST is a synthetic prostaglandin that works on the same receptors in the eye at which natural prostaglandin works. In this way, it increases the drainage of aqueous humour resulting in lowering of pressure inside the eyes.
Uses of Travrx Eye Drop
Ocular hypertension, Glaucoma
Medicinal Benefits of Travrx Eye Drop
The intraocular pressure (the pressure built inside the eyeball) is naturally maintained by a normally flowing liquid known as aqueous humour. If this outflow of liquid gets blocked, then aqueous pressure starts putting more pressure within the eyeball. This excessive pressure needs to be controlled; otherwise, it can even damage the optic nerve and affect vision. TRAVOPROST is one of the renowned medication for open-angle glaucoma that effectively reduces excessive pressure by reducing the action of prostaglandins in the eye. Prostaglandin is a naturally occurring chemical that is responsible for causing dryness in the eye. TRAVOPROST acts as a synthetic prostaglandin that works similarly to natural ones and increases the drainage of aqueous humour inside the eyeball resulting in the lowering of pressure inside the eye.
Directions for Use
Depending upon the medical condition, the doctor may usually suggest a single or more drop into the affected part of the eye, before going to bed. Never use this drug when you are wearing the contact lenses and wait for at least 15- 20 minutes before putting the lenses back into your eyes. For applying the TRAVOPROST, tilt your head back slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid to make a small pocket. Then hold the dropper gently above the eye with its tip down.
