About Teceris Injection

Eribulin Mesylate is an anti-cancer medication. It works by interfering with the microtubule structures which help the cancer cells to divide and multiply. This blocks the growth cycle (cell cycle) of cancer cells and eventually kills them. Eribulin Mesylate is used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. It is used to treat adults with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, and who have already received other anticancer medicines after cancer has spread.

Directions for Use

• Eribulin Mesylate helps treat breast cancer that has spread to other areas of the body.
• It is given by an injection into a vein (intravenously).
• It may cause dizziness and tiredness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
• Use a reliable contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy while you are taking this medicine and for three months after you stop taking it.
• Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your blood cells and electrolyte levels during treatment with this medicine.
• Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat, rash, or severe diarrhea while taking this medicine.
• It may cause numbness, tingling, or prickling sensations in your hands and feet. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.

Side Effects of Teceris Injection

Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Weakness, Hair loss, Nausea, Constipation, Decreased white blood cell count, Fatigue, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hands)
