PRODUCT DETAILS
About Recofol-M Tablet
FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN(vitamin B6)+PYRIDOXINE belongs to the class of 'Vitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin B6 deficiency, folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE helps in the growth and development of cells, boosts the immune system, balances vitamin content, metabolism of minerals, and helps maintain a healthy central nervous system.
FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine and Methylcobalamin. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency), and high blood levels of an amino acid, homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). Pyridoxine is also known as vitamin B6. It is a water-soluble vitamin involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.
Uses of Recofol-M Tablet
Nutritional deficiencies, folate deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency and Vitamin B6 deficiency.
Medicinal Benefits of Recofol-M Tablet
FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine and Methylcobalamin. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate, a water-soluble Vitamin B. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is a water-soluble vitamin that treats and prevents vitamin B6 deficiency. It is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the creation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through neurotransmitter's biosynthesis and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 and treats Vitamin B12 deficiency. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Together, FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE helps treat nutritional deficiencies.

Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food). This disease may make it hard to absorb B complex vitamins when given orally. Your doctor may prescribe other dosage forms in such cases. Let your doctor know if you have any blood disorders like pernicious anaemia before starting FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE. Pyridoxine and folic acid in FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE are excreted into the breast milk. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE. Excessive alcohol consumption reduces absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Alcohol can also worsen the side effects like drowsiness and stomach upset. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using FOLIC ACID+METHYLCOBALAMIN+PYRIDOXINE.
