About Nax-Mox KT Eye Drop
KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN is an ophthalmic (for eye use) medication, primarily used to treat and prevent bacterial eye infections and itchy eyes caused by seasonal allergies. KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN also relieves swelling, pain, and burning or stinging sensation after cataract surgery or corneal refractive surgery. A bacterial eye infection occurs when bacteria invade any part of the eyeball or its surrounding tissues, including the cornea (clear front surface of the eye) and the conjunctiva (thin membrane lining the outer eye and inner eyelids). A bacterial eye infection symptoms include red eyes, pain, swelling of eyes, watery eyes, itching, and blurry vision.

Medicinal Benefits of Nax-Mox KT Eye Drop
KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN treats and prevents bacterial eye infections and itchy eyes caused by seasonal allergies. It also relieves swelling, pain, and burning or stinging sensation after cataract surgery or corneal refractive surgery. It contains two medicines, namely: Ketorolac (NSAID) and Moxifloxacin (antibiotic). Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' in your body to reduce pain and swelling. Moxifloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic. It is bactericidal (kills bacteria) and works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA.
Directions for Use
KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN is available in the form of an ophthalmic solution (eye drops). Eye drops: Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid downwards and outwards. Gently squeeze the dropper and put the eye drops inside the eye/eyes. Blink a few times to spread the medication inside your eye.

In-Depth Precautions and Warning
Drug Warnings
Before using KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN, let your doctor know if have a history of bleeding problems, previous eye surgery, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, nasal polyps, eye problems like dry eye syndrome and corneal problems. Avoid touching the dropper with bare hands or taking it closer to the eyelids while administering drops, since it contaminates the dropper tip and solution. Avoid wearing contact lenses when you are using KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN. If you wear contact lenses, please inform your doctor since KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN may contain additives like Benzalkonium chloride that change the lens's colour. KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN sometimes may make your eye red after administration; in such cases, please avoid wearing a lens until the eye becomes better.
Let your doctor know if you are using other eye medications before starting KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN. KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN should be cautiously used during breastfeeding only when necessary. It is advised to check with your doctor before using KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN if you are pregnant. Avoid driving, or operating machines since the administration of eye drops of KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN cause blurred vision for a while after using.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction:
KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN may interact with blood thinners (clopidogrel, dabigatran, enoxaparin, and warfarin), pain killers (aspirin, naproxen, and ibuprofen), and corticosteroid drugs (prednisone).
Drug-Disease Interaction:
Brief your doctor if you have a medical history of bleeding problems, previous eye surgery, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, nasal polyps, eye problems like dry eye syndrome and corneal problems.
Safety Advice

It is advised to avoid alcohol intake during the course.
PREGNANCY
It is not known if KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN affects pregnancy and unborn baby. However, it is advised to avoid KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN during the first trimester. Please consult your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or already pregnant before starting KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN.
BREAST FEEDING
It is not known if KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN passes into the breast milk. Please consult your doctor before starting KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN if you are a lactating mother.
DRIVING
KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN may cause side effects like blurry vision, which could affect your ability to drive. Do not drive or operate machinery in such cases. Drive only when you are alert and have a clear vision.
LIVER
Let your doctor know if you have any history of liver diseases. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and potential risks before prescribing KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN.
KIDNEY
Let your doctor know if you have any history of kidney diseases. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and potential risks before prescribing KETOROLAC+MOXIFLOXACIN
