FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE belongs to the dermatological medication class used to reduce swelling, itching and redness caused due to bacterial skin infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Medicinal Benefits of Fuseal H Cream

FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE is a combination of two drugs, namely Fusidic acid and Hydrocortisone, which reduces swelling, itching and redness caused due to bacterial skin infections. Fusidic acid is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic that is active against Gram-positive bacteria and works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply, and increase numbers. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that acts inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such chemicals are released normally.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands before and after applying FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. Take a small amount of FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE and gently apply as a thin layer on the affected area of the skin as prescribed by your doctor usually in the morning and evening. FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE is only for external use. If you are using FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE on your face, avoid contact with your eyes as it may cause irritation. In case FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE comes in contact with eyes accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you still have a problem with your eye or notice any vision problems, consult your doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

If you are allergic to FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. Do not swallow FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. In case of accidental swallowing, please consult a doctor. If you experience blurred vision or other vision disturbances, please consult a doctor. Do not apply FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE in the eye as it may lead to glaucoma or cataract. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with bandages unless advised by your doctor as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as the fabric (bedding, clothing, dressings) in contact with FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE catches fire and burns easily, which is a serious fire hazard. Do not apply FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects and makes skin more sensitive to FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. If you have rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), acne, perioral dermatitis (redness and swelling of the skin around the mouth), tuberculosis, diabetes, syphilis (a bacterial infection), chickenpox or sores, athlete’s foot, broken veins or skin ulcers, please inform your doctor before taking FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. 

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction:

 FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE may interact with antidiabetic drugs (metformin, pioglitazone, acarbose, glimepiride).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

 If you have rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), acne, perioral dermatitis (redness and swelling of the skin around the mouth), tuberculosis, diabetes, syphilis (a bacterial infection), chickenpox or sores, athlete’s foot, broken veins or skin ulcers, please inform your doctor before taking FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE. 

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

The interaction of FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE with alcohol is unknown. Please consult a doctor before consuming alcohol while using FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE.

PREGNANCY

Please consult a doctor if you are pregnant. FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE is given to pregnant women only if the doctor thinks benefits outweigh risks.

BREAST FEEDING

Do not apply FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE on the breast area. FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE is given to breastfeeding mothers only if the doctor thinks benefits are greater than risks. FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE passes into the breastmilk, so avoid the use of FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE.

DRIVING

FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE usually does not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

LIVER

If you have any concerns regarding the use of FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE in patients with Liver problems, please consult a doctor.

KIDNEY

If you have any concerns regarding the use of FUSIDIC ACID+HYDROCORTISONE in patients with kidney problems, please consult a doctor.
