About Dewax Ear Drop

LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL belongs to the class of medication called 'otic or ear preparations' used to treat ear pain and softening of earwax. Ear pain can occur due to earwax build-up, inflammation, injury, or infection of the ear. Earwax, also known as cerumen, is a brown, red, orange, grey, yellowish, or waxy material secreted in humans' ear canal.

LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL is a combination of four medicines: lidocaine, paradichlorobenzene, chlorobutanol, and turpentine oil. Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic that works by stopping pain signals from the nerves to the brain, reducing ear pain sensation. Paradichlorobenzene works by softening and helping the exclusion of hardened ear wax. Chlorbutanol is a preservative. On the other hand, Turpentine Oil causes redness and heat, which can reduce pain in the ear.

Directions for Use

LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Before use check the label for directions. Hold the dropper near to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL inside the ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Drug Warnings

LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL should not be used by persons suffering from punctured eardrums, redness, pain, swelling of the ear and ear canal, eczema, or dermatitis affecting the external ear. If any side effects become serious or you observe any new side effects, stop use, and inform your doctor. Do not use LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL for more than 3 days without talking to your doctor. After the dropper is inserted, use the LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL within 6 months. Do not apply if the eardrum is punctured and avoid contact with the eyes as it may irritate it. Do not exceed the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Consult your doctor before taking LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; your doctor will prescribe you LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL only if the benefits outweigh the risks.

PREGNANCY

BREAST FEEDING

It is not known that LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL is safe in breastfeeding. Inform your doctor before using LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL.

DRIVING

It is not known whether LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL modifies the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to react and concentrate.

LIVER

LIDOCAINE+PARADICHLOROBENZENE+CHLOROBUTANOL+TURPENTINE OIL is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may not be needed in these patients. Please inform your doctor if you find any difficulties.

KIDNEY
