About Cuf-Well-AD Syrup
AMBROXOL+DEXTROMETHORPHAN HYDROBROMIDE+PHENYLEPHRINE+CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE+MENTHOL belongs to a class of cough and cold preparations primarily used to treat cough. Additionally, it is also used to treat allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, throat irritation, or watery eyes. Coughing (dry or productive) is a body’s way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus, or smoke) from airways and preventing infection. There are two types of coughs, namely: Dry cough and chesty cough. A dry cough is tickly and doesn't produce any vicious or thick mucus, while a chesty cough (wet cough) means mucous or sputum is produced to help clear the airways.

AMBROXOL+DEXTROMETHORPHAN HYDROBROMIDE+PHENYLEPHRINE+CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE+MENTHOL contains Ambroxol, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine maleate and Menthol. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is an anti-tussive agent that blocks the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Thus, decreasing the need to cough. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels. Thereby, providing relief from congestion and decreasing mucus production. Chlorpheniramine maleate is an anti-histamine that blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.
