PRODUCT DETAILS
About Calcimate-CL Nasal Spray
CALCITONIN belongs to groups of medications called hypocalcemic agents, primarily used to treat high blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia). It helps your bones stay as strong as possible. It can help if you have or are at risk of getting a health problem called osteoporosis. This is where your bones get weaker and more likely to break. Osteoporosis can happen for many reasons, but you're more likely to get it if you're a woman who has been through menopause or if you take steroids, for a long time. Some types of cancer treatment can also increase your risk of getting osteoporosis. Besides this CALCITONIN can also help people who have Paget's disease of bone. This weakens your bones and can bend them out of shape.
CALCITONIN contains Calcitonin is a calcitonin receptor agonist that prevents the loss of bones that happen after menopause and helps to rebuild bones. It also used to treat Paget’s disease of bone and hypercalcemia (high calcium level in blood). Calcitonin is a hormone; involved in helping to regulate levels of calcium and phosphate in the blood, opposing the action of parathyroid hormone. CALCITONIN works by inhibiting the activity of the osteoclasts (cells that break down bone). When the osteoclasts break down bone tissue, the calcium enters the bloodstream. CALCITONIN decreases the amount of calcium in the blood by preventing the breakdown of bone. Thereby, CALCITONIN strengthens the bones and minimize the risk of fractures.

Medicinal Benefits of Calcimate-CL Nasal Spray
CALCITONIN contains Calcitonin is a calcitonin receptor agonist that prevents the loss of bones that happen after menopause and helps to rebuild bones. It also used to treat Paget’s disease of bone and hypercalcemia (high calcium level in blood). Calcitonin is a hormone that the C-cells in the thyroid gland produce and release. It opposes the action of the parathyroid hormone, helping to regulate the blood’s calcium and phosphate levels. CALCITONIN works by suppressing the activity of the osteoclasts (cells that break down bone). When the osteoclasts break down bone tissue, the calcium enters the bloodstream. CALCITONIN lessens the amount of calcium in the blood by preventing the breakdown of bone. Thereby, CALCITONIN strengthens the bones and minimize the risk of fractures. CALCITONIN also seems to decrease the amount of calcium the kidneys can re-absorb, lowering calcium levels further.
