About Bifrazo 1% Lotion

BIFONAZOLE belongs to the class of anti-fungal, primarily used to treat fungal infections. An infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Fungi can live in the air, soil, water and plants. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin.

BIFONAZOLE contains 'bifonazole' which belongs to the imidazole antifungal group that kills fungi by causing holes in its cell membrane, thereby leaking all content out. Thus BIFONAZOLE improves your skin infection.

BIFONAZOLE is available in the form of cream, dusting powder, gel, lozenges. Use this BIFONAZOLE as advised by the doctor. Common side effects of BIFONAZOLE skin rash, scaling, redness of the skin, dry skin. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Medicinal Benefits of Bifrazo 1% Lotion

BIFONAZOLE contains 'bifonazole' which belongs to the imidazole antifungal group primarily used to treat fungal infections. BIFONAZOLE kills fungi by causing holes in its cell membrane, thereby leaking all content out. Thus BIFONAZOLE improves your skin infection. BIFONAZOLE used in the treatment of fungal infections like oral thrush, fungal infections of the skin such as jock itch, Athlete's foot.

Directions for Use

Cream/gel: Apply the cream onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by the infection. Apply it once or twice a day or as suggested by your doctor. Do not use BIFONAZOLE on the face and avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and nose. Do not put a bandage or a dressing on the affected area while using BIFONAZOLE unless advised by the doctor. Dusting powder: BIFONAZOLE dusting powder is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina rinse with water.

Drug Warnings

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to BIFONAZOLE. It is essential to tell your doctor if you use any other azole antifungal before using BIFONAZOLE, otherwise using another antifungal may lead to overdose and toxicity. Let your doctor know if you have liver diseases, kidney diseases, heart diseases, human immunodeficiency virus. BIFONAZOLE and mineral oil additive in BIFONAZOLE may weaken rubber product's activities of contraceptive devices latex condoms, diaphragms, and cervical caps. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use BIFONAZOLE with proper consultation and caution. Do not use BIFONAZOLE on the face and avoid contact with eyes, nose, and throat. Rinse it off with water thoroughly if you get the cream in these areas. Do not put a bandage or a dressing on the affected area while using BIFONAZOLE unless advised by the doctor. Always wash hands before and after application of BIFONAZOLE.

Drug-Drug Interaction:

BIFONAZOLE may interact with anticoagulant ( warfarin), antifungals (amphotericin-B), drugs that lower the immune system (cyclosporine).
