Guaifenesin+Bromhexine+Diphenhydramine+Ammonium Chloride+Menthol is used in the treatment of cough.
Medicinal Benefits of Amohist Syrup
Guaifenesin + Bromhexine + Diphenhydramine + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol is a combination of five medicines: Guaifenesin , Bromhexine , Diphenhydramine , Ammonium Chloride and Ammonium Chloride which relieve cough. Guaifenesin and ammonium chloride are expectorants which work by decreasing the stickiness of airway secretions and help in their removal from the airways. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.
