Joseph Sunny is the Founder and Director of Pebbles, Centre for Child Development and also serves as the Senior Consultant in the Centre. He holds Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and Master's in Occupational Therapy (Pediatrics) from SRM Medical College, Chennai. He further focused on Sensory Integration Therapy and attended certification programme in Sensory Integration Therapy conducted by Sensory Integration International, University of Southern California, USA.Joseph Sunny's professional experience in the treatment of children with developmental disabilities spans over a decade. He strongly believes and advocates the need for early identification and appropriate intervention for developmental delays in children. Scarcity of dedicated institutions and the paucity of standardized therapeutic services in Chennai to cater to the needs of children with developmental disorders fuelled the idea of Pebbles in him. Pebbles was founded in Feb 2004 with a vision of providing therapeutic services of international standards for children with developmental delay.Joseph Sunny is also the director of prayatna, Cochin. Established in 2012. Pebbles Learning Centre is now spread across the city with branches in Arumbakam, Adyar and Chromepet and has been catering to the therapeutic, clinical, educational and vocational needs of children with developmental disorders.
