Laura Baker (28) has 132 lb, muscles which most women can only dream of, and obsession with donuts and “junk food”. She has her own blog where she publishes recipes for donuts and biscuits, which is not something you would expect from a woman who looks so good – but the secret is not only in her hard exercise, but rather in the “smart” ingredients that she uses in her sweets.

Three years ago, Laura was working in a office, she had over 154 lb and believed that she only have to eat “boring food” like fish and broccoli to look good. Although she had tried fitness, she never had the courage to fully devote herself to it, but then she had a change of heart and decided to devote her time on writing a blog and exercise.

In eight months she managed to get over 10k followers on her blog “GirlGainz”, on which, to surprise of many, doesn’t publish stories about running and fitness, but recipes for cookies.Yes, yes, real pastries – donuts and biscuits which will make you drool. And she eats them daily, but that didn’t stop her to look fantastic.

“I love sweets and because of that, I made a blog. I wanted to show that with little creativity you can include your favorite desserts in your diet. I think food should be enjoyed! I don’t believe in diets, especially those with rapid results.” says Laura.

When she realized that you can regularly exercise and eat sweets, and still have sculpted muscles, Laura says that her life has completely changed. Nowadays she advises everyone to regularly exercise and eat delicious and healthy food.

The recipe for Laura’s healthy donuts

1. 1/4 cup coconut flour

2. 2 tablespoons protein with real vanilla flavor

3. 4 tablespoons apple sauce

4. 5 tablespoons egg-white

5. 1 whole egg

6. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

7. 12 teaspoons baking powder

8. 1/5 cup skim milk

Preparation:

Preheat the oven at 350º F and ready the donut molds for the oven. Blend all the ingredients, fill the molds with the freshly blended dough and bake for  about 30 minutes. For the glaze, mix a little milk with protein powder as desired.

With this you should get around 9 small donuts, and in each of them there’s only 50 calories and 5.3 grams of protein.
