About Lenvanib 4mg Tablet
Lenvatinib is a kinase inhibitor used to treat certain types of cancer. Kinase inhibitors are enzyme inhibitors that blocks the action of one or more protein kinases. Lenvatinib is used to treat thyroid cancer. It is usually given after radioactive iodine has been tried without success.

Lenvatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It works by blocking the oxygen and nutrient supply to cancer cells due to which they stop growing.
Directions for Use
Take lenvatinib exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets.
Take lenvatinib at the same time each day, with or without food.

Drug Warnings
- Monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms of very high blood pressure such as severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting.
- It may cause serious bleeding problem. Inform your doctor if you get headaches, stomach pain or if you notice blood in your urine or stools.
Drug-Disease Interaction:
Hypertension
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with increased blood pressure since it may worsen the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments and frequent clinical monitoring are advised. An alternative treatment option should be considered in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Hypothyroidism
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with hypothyroidism (a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce sufficient levels of hormones) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of thyroid function is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Lung impairment
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a history of interstitial lung disease presenting with acute onset of new or progressive unexplained pulmonary symptoms such as dyspnea, cough, and fever pending diagnostic evaluation due to the increased risk of the lung toxicity. Close monitoring of lung function is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Heart and blood vessel disorder
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having a disease of the heart or the blood vessels due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of heart function is recommended for such patients. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
Interaction with alcohol is unknown. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consumption.
PREGNANCY
Pregnancy may be less likely to occur while the mother or the father is using this medicine. Both men and women should still use birth control to prevent pregnancy because the medicine can harm an unborn baby.
BREAST FEEDING
Do not breastfeed while using this medicine, and for at least 1 week after your last dose.
