About Ilidotrans Transdermal Patch
LIDOCAINE belongs to the class of local anaesthetics known as 'numbing medication'. LIDOCAINE produces local numbness by blocking the nerve signal in the affected area. It is available in the form of injection and topical (gel/cream). LIDOCAINE injection is used to reduce pain and discomfort caused by invasive medical procedures such as surgery, needle punctures, or insertion of a breathing tube or catheter. LIDOCAINE is also used to treat irregular heart rhythms. It is also used to reduce the discomfort of contractions during labour. LIDOCAINE topical is used to reduce discomfort and pain caused by skin irritations and haemorrhoids (piles). Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, which causes uncomfortable sensations in the body. Pain may be dull or sharp; it might be constant or may come and go. The tolerance level of pain might vary from person to person.

Directions for Use
The injection form of LIDOCAINE will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. On the other hand, topical LIDOCAINE be should take the pea-sized amount on the finger and applied directly onto the affected area and gently massage it in. If LIDOCAINE comes in contact with eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with water immediately.

Like all medicines, LIDOCAINE can also cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Burning, dermatitis, erythema, pruritus, rash, skin irritation, and vesicles are the common side-effects of LIDOCAINE. Drug Warnings
Do not exceed the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Consult your doctor before taking LIDOCAINE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; your doctor will prescribe you LIDOCAINE only if the benefits outweigh the risks. LIDOCAINE causes drowsiness, so drive with caution. LIDOCAINE should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Do not take LIDOCAINE for longer durations unless prescribed by your doctor. If your condition does not improve even after taking LIDOCAINE for 2-4 weeks, please consult your doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol along with LIDOCAINE as it could lead to increased drowsiness. LIDOCAINE may not be suitable for people with respiratory disease, heart disease, epilepsy, low blood pressure, kidney or liver problems. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications before taking LIDOCAINE to rule out any side-effects.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction:
LIDOCAINE may have interaction with lorazepam and alprazolam (used to treat anxiety), prilocaine (used to induce anaesthesia), tramadol (used to relieve pain), sodium nitrite (used to treat hypertension).
Drug-Disease Interaction:
: LIDOCAINE may interact with heart dysfunction, seizures (fits), electrolyte imbalance, liver problems, and kidney dysfunction.
Safety Advice

You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption while taking LIDOCAINE. Alcohol intake, along with LIDOCAINE, may cause increased drowsiness.
PREGNANCY

BREAST FEEDING
