Finobrate 145mg Tablet
PRODUCT DETAILS
About Finobrate 145mg Tablet
FENOFIBRATE belongs to a group of medications called 'fabric acid derivatives or 'fibrates' primarily used for the treatment of raised or increased levels of cholesterol or fat/oils. Hyperlipidemia or hypertriglyceridemia is a condition in which there is a high level of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) or bad cholesterol and a decreased level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol. Increased level of bad cholesterol leads to a high risk of heart attack and stroke in the future, especially for heart disease patients.
FENOFIBRATE contains 'fenofibrate' which FENOFIBRATE works by increasing the natural substance that breaks down fats in the bloodstream thereby increasing its utilization and removal. As a result, FENOFIBRATE decreases harmful cholesterol like LDL (bad cholesterol), and triglycerides (TG) and increases levels of HDL (good cholesterol).
FENOFIBRATE is available in both oral capsules. The capsule form of fenofibrate can be taken with or without food and swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Always take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. FENOFIBRATE has to be taken preferably after meals. Some people may experience nausea, chest pain, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, muscle pain, redness/swelling in the legs, and increased liver enzymes. Most of these side effects of fenofibrate do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to fenofibrate or other fabric acids derivative, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using fenofibrate. FENOFIBRATE is not recommended for children below 6 years of age, as the safety and effectiveness were not established. If you experience yellowing of the skin (Jaundice), allergic reaction, cramps, or weak muscles then immediately contact your doctor.
