About Finetears Eye Drop

REBAMIPIDE belongs to a group of medicines called anti ulcers primarily used to treat stomach ulcers, peptic ulcers, gastric ulcers. It is also used to treat stomatitis (mouth ulcers) and dry eyes. Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach. A gastric ulcer occurs mainly due to a bacteria known as H pylori which irritate and weakens the upper protective layer or mucous of the stomach leading to sores and ulcers.

REBAMIPIDE contains ‘Rebamipide’ that increases the synthesis of prostaglandin, a chemical messenger that improves the ulcer's healing. It also helps in replacing lost tissue by increasing the expression of a protein that stimulates cell growth and improves ulcer healing. REBAMIPIDE can effectively treat tear deficiency, and mucin (a type of protein) caused corneal epithelial damage and can restore the microstructure responsible for tear stability.

Uses of Finetears Eye Drop

Peptic ulcer, Gastritis, Stomatitis, Recurrent oral aphthae, Behcet's disease, Dry eye

Medicinal Benefits of Finetears Eye Drop

REBAMIPIDE contains ‘Rebamipide’ (a mucosal protective agent) primarily used to treat peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, and dyspepsia. It is also useful as an ophthalmic drug to treat dry eye syndrome and mouth ulcers. It works by a decrease in oxygen-free radicals, an increase in blood flow, and the production of protective prostaglandins (a chemical messenger) in ulcer mucosa, which accelerates the process of healing. Also, it helps in the replacement of lost tissue by increasing the expression of a protein that stimulates cell growth (epidermal growth factor (EGF) and EGF receptors) and improves ulcer healing. REBAMIPIDE can effectively treat tear deficiency and mucin (a type of protein) caused corneal epithelial damage and can restore the microstructure responsible for stability. REBAMIPIDE can also be taken while taking NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug) to lower the chance of developing stomach ulcers.
