About Fexicef-D Tablet

CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiple very quickly. CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS does not work against infections caused by the virus.

CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS combines two antibiotics (Cefixime, Dicloxacillin) and one probiotic (Lactobacillus).  Cefixime and Dicloxacillin work by interfering with forming the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby, damages the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria. Lactobacillus belongs to the class of probiotics (live micro-organisms that keeps the body healthy) that helps to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thus, it prevents diarrhea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to prolonged intake of CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS.

CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS contains Cefixime, Dicloxacillin and Lactobacillus used to treat several bacterial infections. Cefixime and Dicloxacillin are two broad-spectrum antibiotics that act against both aerobic (grow in the presence of oxygen) and anaerobic (grow in the absence of oxygen) gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. They interfere with forming a bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby, damages the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic (live micro-organisms that keeps the body healthy) that helps restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thus, it prevents diarrhea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to prolonged intake of CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS.

Directions for Use

Take CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS with or without food as advised by your doctor. CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. Do not take CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS while getting ready for bed or lying down to prevent stomach irritation or heartburn.

You are recommended to complete the full course of CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS prescribed by your doctor for effective results. CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS may interact with certain tests such as glucose (sugar) in urine and give unusual results. Drug-Drug Interaction:

CEFIXIME+DICLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), water tablet (furosemide), antibiotic (azithromycin), steroids (dexamethasone, methylprednisolone, prednisone), and immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, ciclosporin).
