About Hizet 10mg Tablet
HYDROXYZINE contains an 'antihistaminics' medication primarily used to treat allergic reactions. It is used to treat allergic skin conditions with inflammation & itching. In addition to this, it is also used to treat anxiety. An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements typically not harmful to your body. These foreign elements are known as ‘allergens.' An anxiety disorder is a mental condition characterized by feelings of excessive fear or worry that affects an individual's daily activities.

Medicinal Benefits of Hizet 10mg Tablet
HYDROXYZINE contains Hydroxyzine, which is primarily used to treat allergic reactions. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine; it reduces the effect of the chemical histamine in the body by blocking the action of histamine receptors. In addition to this, it is also used to treat anxiety in adults and helps to get relaxed before/after surgery as it helps to decrease the activity of the brain.
Directions for Use
HYDROXYZINE be taken with or without food. The tablet form of HYDROXYZINE should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water, do not chew or break the tablet. The lotion form should be applied as prescribed by your doctor.

Drug Warnings
Do not take HYDROXYZINE if you are allergic to HYDROXYZINE, anti-histamines, or any of the ingredients of HYDROXYZINE. Before starting HYDROXYZINE, please mention all the other medications you are using. If you have glaucoma (pressure inside the eye), emphysema (lung disease), asthma, ulcer, urine retention, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, hypertension, kidney or liver problem before starting, HYDROXYZINE. Driving and operating machinery is to be avoided while using this drug. HYDROXYZINE is a category C pregnancy drug; it can lead to fetal defects, so take only if prescribed by a doctor and if benefits outweigh risks as it can cause congenital disabilities. If HYDROXYZINE is used for anxiety, it should not be used for too long as it may lead to unpleasant side-effects.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction:
HYDROXYZINE is known to interact with opiates (meperidine), heart medicines (quinidine), Alzheimer's disease medications (donepezil, galantamine), anticholinergics (benztropine, scopolamine), antipsychotics (chlorpromazine, clozapine, fluphenazine, thioridazine, risperidone, trazodone), pain relievers (acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone).
Drug-Disease Interaction:
HYDROXYZINE is known to interact in patients with glaucoma (pressure inside the eye), emphysema (lung disease), asthma, ulcer, retention of the urine, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, hypertension, kidney or liver problem.
Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
You are recommended not to consume alcohol along with HYDROXYZINE to avoid unpleasant side-effects.
PREGNANCY
HYDROXYZINE is a category C pregnancy drug. It is unknown whether it will harm the baby or not, so take only if prescribed by a doctor and if benefits outweigh risks as it can cause birth defects.
BREAST FEEDING
Larger doses or long term doses can cause sleepiness and other effects in infants.
DRIVING
Drive with caution, HYDROXYZINE usually causes blurry vision and may affect driving ability.
LIVER
HYDROXYZINE to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of liver diseases/conditions. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor.
KIDNEY
HYDROXYZINE to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of kidney diseases/conditions. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor.
