About Hhderm Cream

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat skin infections, such as eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches), dermatitis, nasal polyps (painless growth on the lining of the nose or sinuses), impetigo (red sores on the face), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales), ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, and dermatoses (lesions or eruptions of the skin). Skin infection occurs when a foreign microbe like fungus or bacteria invades and affects the tissue on the skin. 

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is composed of three medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal), Fusidic acid (antibacterial), and Mometasone (corticosteroid). Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. On the other hand, Fusidic acid is an antibacterial medication that prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Mometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids. Corticosteroids have anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and antiproliferative (inhibit cell growth) properties. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Mometasone effectively treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis. 

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is available in the form of cream and ointment. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is for topical (for skin) use only. CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE has common side effects like itching, irritation, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE or other medications. Do not use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE on sensitive areas like nostrils, ears, lips, or genitals if the doctor did not advise you. If CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE gets into the eyes, nose, or genitals, wash the areas with clean water thoroughly. Do not cover the affected areas with air-tight dressings after applying CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE. It is not recommended to use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE for diaper rash and in cases of diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataracts, and glaucoma. Using steroids may increase the risk of low birth weight in the newborn baby. Hence, Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE.

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is used to treat skin infections, such as dermatitis, impetigo, eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, nasal polyps, and dermatoses. CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is composed of Clotrimazole, Fusidic acid, and Mometasone. Clotrimazole is an antifungal drug that stops fungi growth by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. It treats fungal infections, such as vaginal yeast infections, oral thrush, athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm. Fusidic acid is an antibacterial/antibiotic that prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. It is used to treat infections like dermatitis (inflammation of the skin), spots, cuts, grazes, impetigo (weeping, crusty and swollen patch of skin), and folliculitis (inflammation of one or more hair follicles). Mometasone is a corticosteroid and blocks prostaglandin's production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. It effectively treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis. 

Directions for Use

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is available in the form of cream and ointment. CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE is for external use only. Your doctor will decide the dosage of CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE based on the severity of your infection. Do not apply tight dressings and bandages on the skin's affected areas after using CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE unless the doctor advised. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with cold water. Ointment/Cream: Apply a thin layer of CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Wash your hands before and after applying CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.

Drug Warnings

Avoid contact with topical CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE with the nose, mouth, or eyes as it may irritate. In case CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Do not cover the affected areas with bandages or dressing after applying CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE. Please do not use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE in cases of liver failure, diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataracts, and glaucoma. Mometasone may also increase the risk of infection in patients exposed to viral illnesses like chickenpox or measles. Topical use of corticosteroids (Mometasone) sometimes causes systemic immunosuppression (decreased ability to fight infections) while treating infections. This condition worsens the infections; hence CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE should be used with caution in patients with active infections.

Do not use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE for treating diaper rash, since Mometasone can cause adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome (high cortisol levels), and intracranial hypertension (pressure of the fluid surrounding the brain) in infants due to systemic absorption. Using steroids also increases the risk of low birth weight in the newborn baby. CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE contains Clotrimazole that may cause abnormal test results like liver function tests, hence inform your doctor beforehand. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE with proper consultation and caution. 

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction:

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE may interact with asthma treating drugs (budesonide+formoterol).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE should be used with caution in diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataract or glaucoma, thyroid and pituitary diseases, heart, kidney, or liver problems.

PREGNANCY

Mometasone in CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE may be unsafe to use during pregnancy since it may have harmful effects on the fetus. Let your doctor know if you are planning to become pregnant or already pregnant before starting CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE.

BREAST FEEDING

There are limited studies on how CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE affects breastfeeding. Please consult the doctor before using CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE if you are a nursing mother. However, it is advised not to use CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE on breasts before breastfeeding your baby.

DRIVING

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

LIVER

CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE may cause hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression in patients with liver failure. Clotrimazole in CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE may also cause abnormal liver function tests in people with liver impairment. Let your doctor know if you have any history of liver diseases or hepatic impairment. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and potential risks before prescribing CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE.

KIDNEY

Let your doctor know if you have any history of kidney diseases. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and potential risks before prescribing CLOTRIMAZOLE+FUSIDIC ACID+MOMETASONE. However, it is not recommended in patients with severe kidney diseases.
