About Floc D Eye Drop
Ofloxacin + Dexamethasone + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a combination of three medicines: Ofloxacin , Dexamethasone , and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating formulation which moistens the eyes/ears.
Uses of Floc D Eye Drop
Ofloxacin+Dexamethasone+Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is used in the treatment of Bacterial eye / ear infections.
Medicinal Benefits of Floc D Eye Drop
Ofloxacin + Dexamethasone + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye/ear. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating formulation which moistens the eyes/ears.
Directions for Use
If using Ofloxacin + Dexamethasone + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose for an eye:
- Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
- Do not wear contact lenses, while using this medication.
- It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
