DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is a combination medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of migraine, and any medical condition with concomitant nausea/vomiting and fever/pain. Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head, eyes, face, and neck. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, difficulty speaking, numbness or tingling, and sensitivity to light and sound.

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is a combination of three drugs, namely: Domperidone, flunarizine, and Paracetamol. Domperidone prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting center (chemoreceptor trigger zone –CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract's motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker that works by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels in the head thereby preventing migraine headaches. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain.

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is available in both oral tablets. It is advised to take DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL 25-30 minutes before a meal. Your doctor will recommend how often you take DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL based on your medical condition.  Some people may experience some side effects like weight gain, drowsiness, and dryness in the mouth. Most of these side effects of DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

You can increase the efficacy of DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL by taking a small meal or snacks frequently. Do not take DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL if you are allergic to DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL and other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before taking DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL. Inform your doctor if you have heart, kidney, and liver disease. Prolonged intake of DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL may be associated with an increased risk of heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia) and cardiac arrest (heart attack). This risk may be more likely in the elderly (those over 60 years old) or taking a higher dose. If you experience heart rhythm disorders like palpitations, trouble breathing, or loss of consciousness after taking DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL, immediately contact your doctor. DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is not recommended n depression, Parkinson's disease, or breast cancer.

Directions for Use

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction:

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL interact with medicines used to treat heart problems (amiodarone, amlodipine, dronedarone, quinidine, sotalol, diltiazem, verapamil), antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin, moxifloxacin), gastrointestinal disorder (cisapride, dolasetron), blood thinners (warfarin), vomiting and nausea related pills (metoclopramide) and bile related medicines (cholestyramine), anti-epileptics (carbamazepine), estrogens (Ethinyl estradiol)

Drug-Disease Interaction:

The use of DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is restricted in people with liver disease, a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, or any problem involving the bowels, depression, or Parkinson's disease, shock, phenylketonuria, breast cancer.

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

Alcohol may increase the risk of tiredness and drowsiness with DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL. If you do feel tired or drowsy whilst taking DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL, avoid alcoholic drinks

PREGNANCY

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL.

BREAST FEEDING

DRIVING

• Taking DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL may cause dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, or any visual disturbances; you must not drive or use machinery.

 

LIVER

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of liver diseases/conditions. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor.

KIDNEY

DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of kidney diseases/conditions. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor.
