About Ampy 1000mg Injection
AMPICILLIN belongs to a group of anti-bacterial or antibiotics known as penicillin. AMPICILLIN is used to prevent and treat bacterial infections in different parts of the body such as pneumonia, gonorrhoea, meningitis. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and causes infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiple very quickly.
AMPICILLIN contains Ampicillin, which belongs to a class of penicillin-like antibiotics. It works by inhibiting the process of cell wall synthesis of bacterial cells that is required for its survival. Thus, AMPICILLIN kills bacteria and prevents the growth of bacterial infection. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria.

Medicinal Benefits of Ampy 1000mg Injection
AMPICILLIN is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that helps in the treatment of various types of bacterial infections such as meningitis, bladder infections, gonorrhoea, pneumonia, or infections of the intestines or stomach caused by susceptible bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth. It belongs to a class of penicillins. AMPICILLIN is also used in combination with other penicillin antibiotics called flucloxacillin and the combination is known as co-fluampicil.
Directions for Use
AMPICILLIN can be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after food as directed by your doctor. The tablet form of AMPICILLIN should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. The liquid form of AMPICILLIN should be taken by mouth using the measuring cup provided with the pack. Shake the bottle well before each use.

Drug Warnings
Inform your doctor if you ever had diabetes, asthma, kidney disease, antibiotics-induced diarrhoea. Inform your doctor immediately if you have severe stomach pain, pale skin, short of breath after taking AMPICILLIN. This medicine may lower the efficiency of oral birth control pills or contraceptives devices. AMPICILLIN may alter test results with certain medical tests. Tell your doctor before undergoing those tests that you are using AMPICILLIN.
Drug-Drug Interaction:
Typhoid vaccine (live), cephalosporin antibiotics such as cefaclor, cefadroxil, cefazolin, cefixime, cefpodoxime, cefprozil, cephalexin; allopurinol/ probenecid (used to treat gout).
