About Aerotide Forte 400mcg/200mcg Diskette

BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL is combination medication primarily used to treat or prevent asthma symptoms like chest tightness, shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing (whistling sound while breathing).  Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty in breathing.

BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL is a combination of two medicines, namely: Beclometasone (corticosteroid) and Salbutamol (bronchodilator). Beclometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids that works by acting inside cells of the airways and stops the release of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammatory reactions. Thereby, provides relief from sneezing, runny or blocked nose and sinus discomfort. Salbutamol belongs to the class of bronchodilators that works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Thereby, it makes breathing easier. BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL is not for use in acute (short term) attacks, but for routine long-term (chronic) management of asthma related complications.

BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL is a combination of two drugs, namely: Beclometasone and Salbutamol. Directions for Use

Inhaler: Shake the inhaler well and check the label for directions before using BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL. Take BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL daily at the same time to maintain consistent level of BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL in body. While you are breathing BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL from the mouth, press down inhaler once to release the medicine and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as advised by your doctor. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL to avoid fungal infections in mouth and throat. Rotacaps and Resicaps: BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL is for inhalation only. Do not swallow BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL. Use BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL in dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

Side Effects of Aerotide Forte 400mcg/200mcg Diskette

Like all medicines, BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL can cause some common side effects like fungal infection in the mouth, headache, hoarse voice, sore throat or tongue, runny nose, pain, shakiness in the legs, arms, feet or hands and fast heart rate. Most of these side effects of BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.

Drug-Drug Interaction:

BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL may interact with bronchodilators (salmeterol, formoterol), steroids (budesonide, prednisone), water pills (furosemide), medicines used to lower high blood pressure (propranolol, metoprolol), bronchodilators (theophylline, aminophylline), antibiotic (azithromycin), an antidepressant (duloxetine), heart-related medicines (digoxin).

DRIVING

BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL may cause uneven heart rate, dizziness, shakiness, muscle pain or cramps in some people. Therefore, avoid driving if you experience any of these symptoms after taking BECLOMETASONE+SALBUTAMOL.
