Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore in 2002 and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Orthodontics Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 2006 from Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere. He topped the AIIMS national entrance examination to join as Senior Resident (Orthodontics), and worked at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences, CDER from 2006-09 .He was awarded fellowship of M. Orth R.C.S. from the prestigious Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh, U.K as a recognition of excellence in the year 2010.
