Professor Sota has also received the degrees of Z.O. (Vienna), D.O.M.S. (Vienna) and L.V.A. (London) in 1971. He went on to become Professor of Ophthalmology, Director and Head of Guru Nanak Eye Centre at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi..
