He did both his under and post graduation at Madurai Medical College and super speciality in the field of Gastroenterology at Stanley Medical College under Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He did his Fellowship in Liver transplantation from the Department of General, Visceral Transplantation Surgery, University Hospital Essen, Germany. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology at Amrita Institute of medical Sciences & Research Centre, Kerala. He joined in Global hospital in 2010 and is currently the Clinical Lead & Senior Hepatologist and Transplant physician, Institute of Liver Disease & Transplantation at Global Hospitals & Health City, Chennai. He was awarded Levy Thomson Award for clinical research work on “Understanding pathophysiology of hyperventilation in Cirrhosis” – Received at Canadian Digestive Disease Week, Banff, Canada in 2007, Indo – British “Young Investigator Award” – for clinical research work on “Hyperimmune plasma in Post Liver Transplantation”, ISG – Om Prakash Award 2012 – for outstanding research work in the field of Gastroenterology – Received in ISGCON 2012 at Jaipur.
