Graduated in Dentistry during 1994 and received Master’s in Public Health Dentistry in 1999 from one of the most prestigious institution - Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere. Started my academic and also clinical career at Davangere till 2005. Initially I practiced for Dr. K. Sadashiva Shetty (A renowned Orthodontist) and later on set up an individual practice. Of the total 22 years of experience, I have teaching and research experience of more than sixteen years and am a recognized guide for PhD and Post Graduate Students of Public Health Dentistry. More than 73 research publications in peer reviewed Medical/Dental journals are credited in my name. Also a Reviewer/Member of Editorial Board of many National and International journals. I have been an invited speaker on Research Methodology and Ethical Issues in Bio-Medical Research in different parts of the country. Grabbed an opportunity to visit foreign countries and present scientific paper at the 7th World Congress on Preventive Dentistry held at Beijing, China on 26th April 2001.
