After obtaining a post graduation in medicine, he has spent one year at the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at CMC Vellore under the supervision of Prof. Debasish Danda. Subsequently, he got selected for DM Rheumatology course at one of the most premier institutes of the country - Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. There he had the opportunity to work under Prof Ramnath Misra and Prof Amita Aggarwal who have trained some of the best rheumatologists in the country.During my years at CMC Vellore and SGPGIMS Lucknow, he has gained vast experience in the management of rheumatic diseases. he has been trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as MRI.Rheumatology is a relatively newer subspecialty of medicine. The burden of rheumatic diseases is huge and often they lead to disability or mortality at a relatively young age. Awareness about management of rheumatic diseases is lacking amongst patients as well as general physicians. his goal is to develop this speciality in West Bengal and to improve the management of patients with rheumatic diseases".
