Hospital, Parel, Bombay- a Premier Institution at National Level. Dr. P.K.Sen was pioneer of Heart Surgery in India. He contributed many research operations in early phase of Cardiac Surgery Branch. In 1976, I joined as a Tutor, Cardio Thoracic Surgery Department at B.J.Medcal College and New Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. I was promoted as Assistant Professor and Professor & Head of the Department of Cardio Thoracic Surgery. During this period, in addition to V.S.Hospital, this was the only super speciality department in the whole of Gujarat. There were no corporate hospitals in Medical Field.
